Attack on Titan, a dark fantasy anime, has just wrapped up Season 4. The widely popular anime series enticed the fans with its gripping fourth season where fans witnessed the austere realities that the characters faced. It is believed that the fourth season was the finale of the epic series leaving many fans in awe who were hoping that the series will hop over towards another season.
Attack on Titan is a story of a kid name Eren Jaeger who vows to eradicate the giant humanoid Titans from the earth after his mother was killed in his hometown’s destruction. The titans came to earth 100 years before the current timeline and were cast away from civilization due to a 3 gigantic wall barrier around it.
The plot adds on many battles and intriguing storyline that has hooked up every anime/manga fan to date.
Is there more to the Attack on Titan Series?
The fourth season is considered to be the final season with episode 75 marking the end of the series.
No further information is yet revealed what further lies in the series. However, fans are still hopeful regarding the renewal of the series in one way or the other; be it a movie, another season or some other form of production.
The Attack on Titan is an adaptation of the manga of the same name. Luckily, the anime hasn’t adapted the entire manga yet. Also, the manga is commissioned to be completed by April 2021 with the release of Chapter 139. So there will be a lot of resourceful material that the show-makers can use to continue the story.
Will there be a Season 5?
The promotional campaign of Attack on Titan Season 5 highlighted that season 4 will be the final season of the series. Therefore, looking at the circumstances, it is highly unlikely that we may get to see a Season 5 on-screen.
The new studio, MAPPA, that created the fourth season of the series might backtrack from the final season label after the manga is complete. However, there is another possibility.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2.
Anime hasn’t adapted the entire manga and manga will be completed by April. So there is plenty of material that can be adapted in the anime. The creators can then return the season titled ‘Attach on Titan: Season 4 Part 2’ by the end of the year.
This will conclude the story for the final this time without disturbing the label of Season 4 being the final season. This won’t be the first time such a strategy will be implemented, since the creators implemented a similar strategy in the previous, third, season.
