The Haunting of Bly manor is a part of an anthology series created by Henry James. The first part of this blood-freezing series was The Haunting of the hill house. Those who have seen it know that it had a completely different storyline.
Horror shows and movies are widely criticized for leaving things open, but we think that is just the thrill of horror.
The fans of The Haunting of the Hill House would know that the first show of The Haunting series also concluded with numerous unexplained questions. The same happened with The Haunting of Bly Manor.
The startlingly written and executed story of The Haunting of Bly Manor gives you creeps like none other. The whole theme of the show is based on a spooky old manor located somewhere far from the city.
Everything feels just so wrong there, from the people who work there to the ones living there. The story revolves around the central character of the show, Dani Clayton played by Victoria Pedretti.
Dani Clayton is a school teacher in the US but for some ‘unknown’ reasons came to Britain without any plan of ever returning. Soon after she comes to Britain, she gets the job of an au pair in The Bly manor.
We don’t know why she ran from the US but she should definitely run as far from this manor as possible. Unfortunately, Dani soon finds herself looking after two children, 10-year-old Mile, and 8-year-old Flora.
Both Mile and Flora are secretive about something and at times behave very unusual. The person who hired Dani, the children’s uncle, and the current owner of the Bly manor, Henry Wingrave, forbids Dani to call him no matter what and this just adds to the spook.
It doesn’t take long for Dani to realize something was wrong about the Bly manor. She starts seeing different people in the house who were not the workers.
Apart from the cook, Gardner, housekeeper, and the two children, she was the only one who lived in the house. Yes, this all sounds like a typical horror story but the cards only fully open when the history of the haunted Bly manor came to light.
The heart-breaking and goose-bumpy story of the two sisters who originally inherited the manor from their parents set the audience to the edge of their seats. The story of the Haunting of Bly Manor is a tale, in a tale, in a tale.
The final episode of the show unraveled quite a few mysteries in a very satisfying way but a few questions stand to bother the fans; like what happened to Dani in the end? What happened to the ghost of the Lake Lady? And most importantly, what is the interpretation of the final scene of The Hunting of Bly Manor?
The history of Bly manor is told so mysteriously that you feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
That is the major reason why people are so invested and excited about the next series of the show. But sadly, people are less likely to get the answers to their questions and this brings us back to the matter of a standing question, will there be a second season of The Hunting of Bly Manor?
All about Season 3 of The Haunting Series
Since the franchise has already produced two successful and scream-out-loud horror shows that were not related at all, we guess that there’s a close to no chance of another season related to the story of Bly manor. But we might be welcoming the new show of The Haunting series, third in the family.
Though Netflix has not yet confirmed the renewal of the show, that doesn’t mean we will let our hopes sink.
Since the third season of the anthology has not been confirmed by Netflix, we do not have a specific date of release or cast information. But we are expecting the same amount of thrill, suspense, and horror as the previous two parts of the well-appreciated anthology. The Haunting of Bly Manor is said to be one of the best horror shows produced in 2020.
The mysterious manor, strange rumors, and the spooky history of the house alone are enough to scare any person, but the visuals, storytelling, and graphics of the show exceed expectations in every way possible.
The popularity of the show has convinced people to patiently await the news of the third season. Since Netflix likes to add a little zing, they wait a few months before announcing the renewal of any show.
Considering that the previous shows came out with an approximate interval of two years, we expect the third season to come out in 2021 or 2022. Can’t wait, right?
As much as people want to see more of the Lake lady, we think the continuation of Bly Manor’s story can soon become boring and uninteresting. All the previous shows and adaptations point towards the idea of a whole new ghost story.
On the other hand, if we talk about the cast of the third season, since most of the favorites of The Hunting of the Hill House returned in the next show, it is possible that we might see the familiar faces again.
As for the story, the previous shows were all adaptations of books so the possibilities are literally infinite when it comes to the story and the theme of the much-awaited third season of The Haunting series.
There hasn’t been a trailer on the internet yet, but we all are dearly waiting for the next spin that Henry James will put on another thrilling and mysterious story. The fans of the franchise have been spoiled with astonishingly amazing story execution and now expect nothing less than spectacular, so fingers crossed for that.
For the burning question of VIola’s ghost and why Dani was able to free the souls of the manor’s spirits, all we can do is wonder and rest our case.
